About the Project

Project Story

Located on the Pemaquid Peninsula, this 4800 kW Community Solar Project is NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat and a sustainable energy option for residents in midcoastal Maine. Developed in tandem with MidCoast Solar, these 12,000+ photovoltaic modules in Bristol will produce enough clean energy to significantly reduce harmful carbon emissions in the region. This lobster, fishing, and oystering community knows that a clean, pollutant-free environment is important to Mainer livelihoods. Subscribers to the Bristol I solar plant will not only reduce their utility costs, but also contribute to creating a more sustainable community.
